COPA is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of fourteen members, with seven each from the dealer and vendor communities, plus up to four appointees. The Board focuses on setting policy and direction through strategic planning for the future of the Association. Implementation of Board policy and direction is the mandate of the President.

COPA Committees
Like most associations, COPA relies on the dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers who contribute on an ad hoc or on-going basis to its continuous improvement. Committee work also present volunteers with the opportunity to further develop their professional skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem solving and make an excellent addition to any resume.
COPA Conference Committee
The Conference Committee is responsible for helping COPA plan its annual Conference and Awards event. Committee members are also responsible for evaluating and selecting the COPA Awards winners and helping to set the criteria and direction for the Awards Program.
COPA Events Committee
The Events Committee is responsible for helping COPA plan learning seminars and networking opportunities throughout the year.
