Another year another $2,000 awarded in scholarships to members’ employees
The Canadian Office Products Association is delighted to continue its support of our industry students with another year of awards. The cost of higher education isn’t getting any cheaper, but the association is firm in its commitment to our members and their families.
For the 2022-23 academic year, two students—Ashley Chan and Konstadinos “Dino” Ekonomakos—were selected from a list of qualified applicants and awarded $1,000 each to help with tuition costs.
“Among our many programs and offerings for our members and their employees, the Scholarship Fund is one of the most important ways that we provide support to the industry and give back to our members,” commented Sam Moncada, COPA president. “Through the ongoing support of our membership, year after year this program helps to alleviate the financial pressure facing families with post-secondary students.”
Ashley Chan lives in Markham, ON and is currently studying in the Specialized Honours Kinesiology & Health Science program at York University. Her mother, Maggie Hui, works at Fellowes Canada.
Konstadinos Ekonomakos of Scarborough, ON is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce program, specializing in accounting at York University. His mother, Jane Ekonomakos, works at Global Upholstery.
You can learn more about Ashley and Konstadinos by reading their autobiographies on the COPA scholarship page.
