CHHMA members have approved a name change of the Association to the Canadian Home Products Trade Association (CHPTA) and its French translation L’Association Canadienne du Commerce des Produits de Maison (ACCPM).
This rebranding of the Association has now commenced but will be phased in over several months and is being done as the Association looks to grow its membership by appealing to a larger audience with more focus on the “complete industry” within hardware and housewares products as well as other home-related product industries.
As per the past 53 years, the Association will continue to serve and represent manufacturers, brand owners and sales agents working within the Canadian home products industry, but will also look to offer value to other sectors of the industry including retailers, dealers, distributors, builders, suppliers, tradespeople and end-consumers. The Association’s mission will be to provide value to members by increasing their growth and profitability, expanding their sales reach, accessing industry intelligence and supporting professional development.
