COPA Golf Tournament will be modified to accommodate social distancing and keep members safe

The 2020 Industry Day that included a golf tournament with spa option is set to go ahead with changes to ensure maximum fun and safety under current COVID-19 Public Health safety guidelines. Here’s what you can expect on September 9th at Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club.

  • This year, we will proceed with a Golf Tournament only. For the safety of our members, we will not be offering a spa option.
  • Instead of a shotgun start, we will start tee offs at 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. at 10 minutes apart.
  • All carts are equipped with a plastic divider between the two the riders, therefore, we can accommodate 4 golfers in 2 carts.
  • There will be no gathering before or after golf: Breakfast will be on the cart and food stations will be set up to provide meals on the course.
  • Hole sponsorships and competition holes are still available, but we will not proceed with the “Bring a Bottle” fundraiser. All hole prizes must be in the form of gift cards and will be mailed to winners following the tournament.

We are still working out all the details for this event and more information is certainly to come – so stay tuned. For now, you can mark your calendar for what promises to be a safe and fun day out!
