A Canadian leader in the workplace supply / office product industry, Novexco Inc., has announced an investment of $7.5 million in enhanced logistics technology and additional warehouse space, at its Brampton distribution centre to increase service to surrounding customers. In line with this strategy, Novexco continues to further enhance distribution capabilities and enrich customer experience through shorter lead times and localized last mile solutions as well as to ensure capacity for growth.

The 130,000 sq. ft. distribution centre with over 16,000 different products on inventory and access to over 500,000 products directly from suppliers will employ 65 full-time personnel with benefits and opportunities to engage with advanced technology. The implementation of the intelligent conveyor system integrated with Novexco’s own WMS (Warehouse Management System), and a pick tower of 36,000 sq. ft. will successfully contribute to our 24-hour committed delivery service at a fill rate of 99%.

“These investments allow us to better serve our customers in the region in terms of speed and fulfillment, while continuing to offer them our full product lines such as furniture, stationery, electronics and ergonomic products. This location will also help our reseller customers to complete their offer and improve the service to their own customers. It is important for us to continue investing in our warehouse network for both our customers and our employees,” explained Mr. Denis Mathieu, CEO of Novexco.

The Brampton location will service Ontario and the Prairie Provinces, with significantly shortened delivery lead times and increased capacity in the region. This is part of Novexco’s overall strategy of pursuing technological enhancements and increasing fulfillment capabilities to more and more regions from all its distribution centers across Canada
