ACCO Appoints Director
ACCO Brands Corporation announced that Beth Simermeyer has been elected to the Board of Directors, effective December 5, 2023.
Ms. Simermeyer brings substantial business leadership experience in marketing, transformation, innovation, growth acceleration, acquisitions and top and bottom-line delivery in the consumer goods, industrial and healthcare sectors.
In a career spanning more than 30 years, she has held senior marketing and leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, SC Johnson and Ecolab. Since 2009, Simermeyer has served as an independent director at the Securian Financial Group.

Antonio Lucio Rejoins HP, Succeeding CMO Vikrant Batra
HP has rehired former CMO Antonio Lucio, who left to join Facebook (now Meta) as its CMO five years ago. Lucio will succeed Vikrant Batra, who will step down as CMO at the end of the year.
Lucio will report directly to Enrique Lores as CMO and corporate affairs officer. He has been a driving force for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the marketing sector. Lucio has also launched Virtuosi Leap, a virtual learning program for marketers, with Nadine Dietz as the majority shareholder.
Lucio will become an advisor and minority partner to Dietz and step down from Adweek’s board of directors after three years. He was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame in April and has been an Executive Fellow at the Yale School of Management.

TD SYNNEX Earns Second-Consecutive Top Score in 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index
TD SYNNEX has been awarded a 100-point score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index, a benchmarking survey that measures corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. The company’s CEO, Rich Hume, said the recognition was a testament to its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Sr Director of Workplace Equality, RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, said the growth in CEI participation is evidence of a business community that values upholding equity and inclusion. The 2023-2024 CEI now includes 1,384 participants, with 1,340 businesses having non-discrimination protections specific to gender identity.
