To all OPI professionals:

We’re reaching out to you on behalf of the Atlantic Office Products Association. Please read the letter below and do what you can to help. Thank you.

I am looking for your help to create a “History of the Office Products Industry in Atlantic Canada”. We are all getting older, and I don’t know about you but my memory is not as good as it used to be. The Office Products Industry in Atlantic Canada has seen a lot of changes over the years and has grown into a very viable Industry. This did not just happen by chance, it took the effort of many individuals. Thankfully, many of those individuals are still with us today but we have also lost quite a few.

I would like to ensure that those individuals and businesses are captured and remembered and am asking for your help to make this happen. There are lots of names, sales reps, and business we all remember, but we have not captured it for the next generation of office products dealers.

How can you help? I have included a form that you can fill out  that you can fill out to do just that. I am looking for the name(s) of the individual(s) or name of the business and as much information you can recall to help us with our research. If you have a picture of the individual would be great. If they are still with us today but have retired, we would appreciate any information you have so we can contact them for an interview. If they have passed but have family we can contact, please let us know.

For the businesses, we are looking to find out their location, who were the principals, the number of years in business and any of the key employees who contributed to the office products industry.

Once all the data has been collected, it will be put into either a book or a document that I can share. I will be sending copies to those who contributed. I am working with the AOPA on this project, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact stuart@coveybasics.com or the AOPA.

Thank you,

Stuart Blair
