Newell Brands has announced a series of senior leadership changes to enhance operational execution, accelerate innovation, and advance the company’s corporate strategy. 

Mike McDermott has been appointed to lead Newell’s enterprise-wide business-to-business (B2B) capability, focusing on expanding distribution, increasing channel precision, and unlocking growth opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, and government. He will continue to lead the home fragrance and commercial businesses within the home & commercial segment. 

Melanie Huet, recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer, has been appointed Co-CEO of the Home & Commercial Segment, aiming to accelerate market share growth and innovation across iconic kitchen brands like Oster, FoodSaver, Calphalon, Mr. Coffee, and more.

Nick Hammitt has been named Chief Marketing Officer of Newell Brands, joining the company’s Executive Committee and reporting directly to the President & CEO, Chris Peterson. Hammitt joined the company earlier this year as Vice President of Marketing and will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Newell’s marketing strategies to drive brand growth, increase market share, and enhance consumer engagement and conversion across all touch points and marketing channels.
